This is the first nude study I have done in watercolors. I had a lot of fun trying to push the colors in the time I had with the model. I'm pretty happy with the results. I learned in my head studys that I like to take a little more time with the initial drawing so that I have a good foundation to paint on.

This is my first water color done live with a model. It is a very different experience because I didn’t have the time to carefully plan out your painting ahead of time. I really enjoyed the spontaneity of the situation though... I got some interesting results I might not have allowed to happen if I had more time to fuss over the painting.

Connie is one of my favorite models. She has a great personality that really shows through her face. I had a lot of fun with this painting. There are passages in here that I think make very good use of the watercolor.
